As you may or may not know, April is the co-founder of OAM. Alongside Melody, she has worked tirelessly around the clock to establish OAM. After a million different challenges and setbacks, we are proud to say that OAM is one of the fastest growing clubs at Monash University.

April!
Prior to the establishment of the OAM committee, April and Melody handled all of the roles! Melody has since left for a semester abroad, but April continues her passionate work with the newly appointed committee and club members.
We wanted to recognise all the hard yards that April and Melody put in. There wasn’t much that we could do for Melody, but we had something planned for April at the Antea Povertea Tea Partea! :)
Our good friend and talented baker, Clara, set us up with these amazing Fairtrade macaron cupcakes. The perfect complements to free Fairtrade tea!

Insanity.

Thanks Clara!
April wasn’t impressed.

April's initial reaction!
Just kidding. She loved it, and so did everyone else in attendance.

:)

Fahad signing up!

Tea, sun, and friends!
Our poverty-awareness tea party attracted over 30 new members! Many had genuine interests and strong opinions regarding poverty. As University students in a modern society, it is easy to forget about the individuals without food in their stomachs and clothes on their back. Our tea party provided everyone with the opportunity to reflect on the less fortunate and the means by which we could help.

Some of us.
Congratulations to OAM for another successful event! The weather was wonderful, the cupcakes crazy, and the tea tannin!
That last one was a science joke – tannin gives tea its colour. :)
